Baby Boom

February has been a busy busy month... First off HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all you February birthdays!! We had a huge birthday party for all the people having birthdays. Happy birthday to all of you :)

Congratulations Christina (my sister) on having baby number 4!! Kyla Elise Tarbet on Feb. 18th!!! I have a new niece who is absolutely perfect.

Here I am with my other niece Hallie seeing Kyla for the first time a couple of hours after she was born. Hallie loves her new baby sister
Also CONGRATS to my brother Mike and sister-in-law Judi who also had their 2nd son Thomas Jefferson Coburn on Feb. 18th a few hours before my sister!! Can't wait to meet you Thomas :)

St. Louis Sunrise

I recently flew to Michigan to help my sister Christina while she was recovering from having her baby. I took the little commuter plane from Kirksville to St. Louis. I left early in the morning and was able to see St. Louis from the air during the sunrise.

This is out of the front of the plane

There is downtown St. Louis and the Mississippi River

Close up of the arch, the St. Louis Rams stadium/dome and in the corner is the Cardinals stadium

The plane is a 6 person plane. Here is the pilot and all the gauges. Lets just say Missouri doesn't look all that bad from the air!

All You Need Is LOVE

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!! or more like weekend. Saturday night Ryan and I went to Valentines Day at the movie theater here in Kirksville. Its an old theater but was fun to watch. I thought it was cute and they did a good job transitioning from the different people and story lines. Sunday morning Ryan made me heart shape pancakes, and I enjoyed breakfast in bed. We went to church and then I cooked a romantic valentines dinner. I made bacon wrapped sirloins, sauted shrimp for Ryan's (which I will never make again... shrimp smell really bad!), green beans with bacon bits (one of Ryans favs), grilled potatoes with a bacon dressing, and soft herb rolls. It was a great dinner, candle light included!!
Hope you all had a great valentines day!

The Doctor is IN!

It has been fun to see how much everyone is learning and to hear them talk medical lingo! Ryan's face always lights up when he starts talking about the future and gets all excited about all the things he wants to do after graduating...
Every time we get together with friends, the guys all start "working" on eachother. Last week they were learning how to fix neck problems. So they all worked on one another popping each others neck. Ryan is getting pretty good at it and I am not scared any more of him doing it on me!

Super Bowl Sunday

Getting ready for the big game. We had some friends over and enjoyed watching the game and visiting with each other. We had some cookies, brownies, caramel popcorn, nachos and a chili dip... Lets just say it was FANTASTIC!!! I'm not really into pro football, but I was rooting for the Colts :( but it was a fun night and can't wait until next year to do it again!
