Adios Kirksville!! Ryan is done with finals and we are off to enjoy our last bit of summer by heading to South Carolina... We're going to enjoy good food, good company, and just good times together!!

Ryan and I have been married TWO YEARS!!

wow that doesn't seem very long but has felt like 10 years :)

I was thinking the other day what has happened in our marriage since our first anniversary and... nothing! We haven't been anywhere new, haven't bought any thing big, no family announcements, NOTHING!

but we did learn a lot about each other!

I have experienced life as a medical school wife. The stress of finals and the joy of our last official summer vacation together!

Ryan, I love you and can't wait for this next year!

Birthday Princess

Today is my niece's 3rd Birthday!! She is having a princess party and we are so sad we couldn't be there to celebrate it with her... luckily we were able to celebrate a big family party in Idaho.

Summer Fun

Last weekend, yes I am behind, we spent the day at the pool and had a bbq with friends.

IT WAS A GREAT WEEKEND

We felt like a normal family... no homework and not a worry in the world, oh did I mention no homework!!

It was a great time with friends. The guys threw a football around, the girls chatted and the kids played!

Dance Dance Baby

So a couple of weeks ago Ryan and I were watching TV and a commercial came on about Nauvoo and the BYU International dance team performing. I told Ryan that I think my friend Katie is on that dance team. So hurried and ran and got my phone and started texting her asking if she was performing..... and SHE WAS!!


I told Ryan we HAVE TO GO! So we drove the hour and a half to Nauvoo on Friday and saw her perform and she did AMAZING!! She did a solo for Ireland and it was beautiful and really special because Ryan went on his mission to Ireland and my friend was performing the routine!

It was the perfect day to go. It stormed earlier making it still really humid (which made my hair frizz) but it made it cool down and bearable to be outside.

After the performance we went to Annie's and had some frozen custard, which was delicious!

All and all it was a great trip. I can't believe it has been four years since we lived together. It was great to see her and catch up. We love you Katie!!

My little sister Alison, is graduating from BYU today!! We have had some great times at BYU attending classes together, football games, basketball games and other events... and some how we always end up taking pictures of ourselves half way through it! Here's a little something to remember our times at the Y together...

So HOT!

It has been so hot and HUMID here in Missouri! We have had a severe heat warning all week. It has been over 80% humidity making a heat index of about 110 degrees!!! I really miss how it cools down at night back home and how you can open your windows and let the cool air in. As soon as the sun goes down it starts to cool off.... NOT HERE!! It is just as hot at 8 o'clock at it is in the middle of the day!

Ok sorry just had to get that out.... but seriously I am ready for fall and the humidity to go away and the weather to cool down :)

Old Routine

Well Ryan and I are finally back into our old routine. School started again last week and Ryan did well on the quizzes he had in class. I'm back to cleaning, working and balancing all the things that get thrown your way.

Ryan has found a group of guys that play pick up soccer games outside. Its been great seeing all our friends come back from vacation and catching back up!
