2nd YEARS BABY!

Ok.... so we aren't officially 2nd years but WE ARE DONE WITH FINALS and the new 1st years are starting to move in which means we are the new 2nd years and are so experienced with the medical school life!!

We have 2 months off for summer which means no more this....

And a lot more us time!!

Ryan and some of his friends enjoyed a round of golf to celebrate SUMMER!!

And I enjoyed a few rays of sunshine :)

Last Day

No it's not the last day of class or of tests... but the last day I have EMI!!

It still really hasn't hit me yet that their family is moving and I won't have you in the fall. :( Emi's mom graduated from ATSU and now they are getting ready to move to Tulsa OK for her residency program.

I have had Emi since September when she was 2 months old. It has been a great experience learning about children and watching her grow, and I mean grow she is HUGE now!!!

I have watched her learn to sit up, roll over, feed herself, crawl, talk,


pull herself up onto things, and climb the stairs...



I have to admit I won't miss having to take the trash out so often due to dirty stinky diapers :)

Two Years Ago

On May 17th 2008, my uncle David (dad's brother) and my cousins Kaitlyn, Taylor, and Ellie were in a car accident. Unfortunately, Taylor was the only one to survive and spent a month in the hospital in an induced coma.

Just wanted to say how thankful I am for the gospel in my life and the knowledge that we have about families being together forever. I know that God works in mysterious ways and that sadly it was there time to go. I still think about the events that happened that day and after and I know that Heavenly Father knows what he is doing and has a plan for each and every one of us. I am so thankful that Ryan and I are sealed for all eternity and the comfort that comes with knowing that.

The World's Greatest Mom

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY MOM!!
Just wanted everyone to know that I have the coolest mom ever :)

Let me tell you why I have the best mom in the world....

1. She is willing to try anything- here we are in Nauvoo trying some Mississippi River Catfish (our family is not fish people!) Ryan got some and wanted her to try it and she did. WAY TO GO MOM!!

2. She LOVES her grand kids and spoils them rotten!

3. She supports her kids in everything! I don't know how many miles you drove to watch our volleyball, basketball, cheer leading, golf, banquets, lunches, meetings etc. But when you said you would be there you always were!

4. She is an awesome bowler!

5. A few years ago my family started calling me PJ (Patti Junior) and calling my mom LS (Lisa Senior) Yes sadly I am becoming more and more like my mother!!

Some days mom, I am honored to be like you! You taught me to work hard, keep a clean house, and always have 3 items of food for dinner :)

Crunch Time

So Ryan is entering his last few weeks before summer vacation... it has been the craziest week and isn't going to get any better until its all done!!

His testing schedule is test tomorrow, Monday, Friday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and then FINALS which is EVERYDAY!! So if your good at math then you just figured out that there is only 7 days that he won't be testing!!

But don't worry he is studying a lot and when he doesn't feel like studying anymore, he pulls the ottoman over and makes him self a little bed!!

I think in neurology they learned that if you fall asleep on your books, you can still learn things while sleeping!!

Lightning Fever

I LOVE LIGHTNING!! When I was younger we had large windows in the family room. When there was thunderstorms we would open all the binds, turn off the lights, and sit and watch the lightning.

Well the Midwest has some crazy lightning storms. Today at noon it started to get real dark outside and you could see these dark clouds rolling in... I hurried and opened all the binds and and waited for the show to start.

I know it sounds crazy but I LOVE watching thunderstorms.

Where Has Time Gone??

Do you ever stop and look at a calendar and think "WHAT it's already Wednesday??" or "I can't believe April is almost over??"

Sometimes it think I'm not old enough to worry about car insurance premiums... health insurance deductibles... Honey whats for dinner? Did you iron my shirt? Lisa I need a check to pay for this. Lisa, I need this... EVERYTHING NEEDS TO STOP!!

Emi is now 9 months old! I can't believe I have been babysitting her for 7 months. I have see her reach for things, roll over, crawl, pull herself up onto things, climb stairs, feed herself, and more... what happened to the little baby that used to sleep all day??

My nephew turns 4 today... HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRENDAN!! but seriously how, it seems like yesterday that he was a little one, learning to walk and talk. Now he is a big boy and can do almost everything by himself. Can play the WII by himself, goes to the bathroom by himself, buckles his own seat belt!

Sometimes we focus so much on the future (1 year until we move, 4 years until Ryan graduates, 8 years then we will be completely finished! ) we forget to enjoy the present...

WE SURVIVED

Just wanted everyone to know we survived the week of watching 3 kids!!! Yes we learned a lot and had a lot of fun, but we are definitely hoping to never have triplets... we'll slowly work our way to three kids :)
